Tiffany K. Mrla, Ph.D.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Founder & President

Dr. Mrla, the Founder and President of Learning and Behavior Solutions, Inc., received her Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Arkansas in Curriculum and Instruction. Her work encompasses scholarship, research, and practice in applied behavior analysis, special education, language arts, reading, and second language learners. Dr. Mrla's professional career has provided the hands-on experience necessary to research, develop, teach, and present curriculum methods and strategies for children of all ages and ability levels. The past five years, Dr. Mrla has served on the board of the Arkansas Association for Behavior Analysts as Vice President, President Elect, President, Past President, and Secretary, as well as serving as the Chair of the Legislative and Ethics Committee and the Practitioner Committee. Her interests include advocacy, education, and research to promote acceptance and facilitate change. Dr. Mrla is a member of the active member of the Council for Autism Service Providers, as well as a member of the the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts, Association of Behavior Analysts International and several Special Interest Groups, the Behavior Analysis Leadership Council, the Association for Contextual Behavior Science, the Council for Exceptional Children, the National Education Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and thus benefits from access to unlimited resources and research in the fields of education, ABA, and ASD.

Alison Karnes, Ph.D.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Clinical Director

Alison Karnes, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and serves as the Clinical Director at Learning and Behavior Solutions, Inc..  Alison is an Arkansas native and lives in Fayetteville with her husband and sons.  Alison graduated from the University of Arkansas with her Doctorate of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction. Her areas of interest include Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Her research concentration includes the effects of using iPad technology as speech-generating devices for improving verbal behavior in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other communication disorders. At Learning and Behavior Solutions, Dr. Karnes, supervises all clinical programs, ensuring the children and families we serve receive the best possible services with highly trained staff. She works continuously to strengthen our supervision and mentorship programs, ensures client families remained connected to resources, and provides invaluable support as a leader and mentor to all staff.

Keri Forrester, MACP
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Quality Assurance Director

​​Keri Forrester, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and serves as the Quality Assurance Director.  Keri is an Arkansas native and currently lives in Bentonville with her husband and daughter.  Keri graduated from the Forrest Institute of Professional Psychology with her Master' Degree in Counseling Psychology.  Post-Master's, Keri attended the Florida Institute of Technology, where she completed her coursework in applied behavior analysis.  Keri has worked in the field for several years, developing her skills and expanding her knowledge to better serve others. Her areas of interest include ethics, organizational behavior management, and autism spectrum disorders. Keri is an invaluable asset to the Learning and Behavior team, ensuring the services are provided with the quality and compassion that all of our clients, families, and staff deserve, with the highest ethical standards, ensuring compliance and growth for all. Keri plans to further her education, focusing on Organizational Behavior Management.

Ashlyn McFarlane, M.S.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Ashlyn McFarlane, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Learning and Behavior Solutions.  A Northwest Arkansas native to Rogers, Ashlyn earned her Bachelor's Degree n Psychology at the University of Central Arkansas.  While completing her undergraduate studies, Ashlyn fell in love with Behavior Analysis and joined the autism field in 2014 as a behavior technician.  She journeyed to Texas to pursue a Master's of Science in Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas.  Ashlyn has worked with people with disabilities, ranging from toddlers to the elderly.  Her Master's thesis focused on decreasing challenging behavior without removing reinforcement. After completing her degree, she moved back to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to family and joined the Learning and Behavior family in February of 2018.  When not running around Northwest Arkansas serving her clients, she enjoys relaxing with her husband, Kelton, and their pets.  In her free time, she trains her dog in agility, fosters cats and dogs, enjoys arts and crafts, and playing video games.

Everly Cole, M.Ed.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst​​
Everly Cole, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Learning and Behavior Solutions. Recently passed her BCBA exam in May after completing her undergrad in psychology, and masters in education with a focus in applied behavior analysis, at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She has lived in Fayetteville for 6 years, but is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. After starting the ABA program, Everly immediately knew it was the perfect niche for her to pursue a career, because it is rewarding, always exciting and she get to continue in the realm of psychology which she loves. Her experience before working at Learning and Behavior Solutions was primarily with children with autism under 7, in her practicum at the university, and in the Arkansas Autism Partnership program where she did in-home therapy. Since then, Everly has gained much more experience with kids at all levels from toddlers to middle school. She likes to spend her free time biking, running,  yoga, cooking, and hanging out with her boyfriend, friends and  pets (1 dog and 2 cats).

Whitney Pearson, M.Ed.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
​Whitney Pearson is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Learning and Behavior Solutions. Recently passed her BCBA exam in December. She has always had a passion for kids and their families. Her education journey began at the University of Central Arkansas where she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus in Behavior Modification. After a short break she decided that ABA was the path for her at which point she began the long road through grad school at the University of Cincinnati. Shortly after completing her Master of Education degree she was referred to Learning and Behavior Solutions which has been her home for learning, teaching and growing within her personal and professional life for almost two years.

Laura Story, M.A., M.Ed.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Laura Story is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Learning and Behavior Solutions. Recently passed her BCBA exam in December. After graduating from the University of Arkansas with her undergrad, she moved to New Orleans where she worked on a Master’s of Marriage and Family Counseling. While in New Orleans, she met the man whom she married. Because of the long-distance nature of their relationship, she moved back to the Northwest Arkansas area, where she discovered the wonderful world of ABA. Laura decided to switch from counseling, to working exclusively with ABA in 2018. After the switch, she discovered Learning and Behavior Solutions and began coursework for a second Master’s in Special Education. She loves getting to see and use all the many applications of ABA for her clients and their families, particularly with using Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).

Brenna Griffen, M.Ed.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Brenna Griffen, M.Ed., is currently in the Board Certified Behavior Analyst position and holds a master’s degree in Special Education with a focus in ABA.  Her passions in life include personal learning, helping others to develop new skills, and seeing others reach their full potential.  She has worked with children and their families in a professional capacity for over a decade.  She received a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a focus in Child Development from Harding University.  After graduating, she worked for the Head Start program in Central Arkansas, teaching preschoolers and working to connect families with community resources to reach their personal and professional goals.  As a classroom teacher, she attended workshops about ABA and implemented some basic reinforcement strategies in the classroom. She has been part of the Learning and Behavior Solutions family for a year and a half. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, hiking, and experimenting with new recipes.

Erica Harvey, M.Ed.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Erica Harvey is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst here at LBS. She grew up in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and currently reside in Bentonville. She graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Rehabilitation Science from Arkansas Tech University and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arkansas in 2015.  Erica has been working in the field of behavior analysis since 2013 and earned her Masters of Education in Special Education with a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2019.  She loves helping children succeed in all environments and enjoys collaborating with families.  She is married to her wonderful husband; Marcus and has two twin boys. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and watching reality tv.
